Old Windsor and the surrounding Berkshire and Greater London area are home to a highly competitive dental market, with established practices competing for the same local patients. When Egham Dental Care, based in Old Windsor, approached Remedo, it brought years of clinical experience, a strong local reputation, and a comprehensive range of dental treatments.
Yet its website was struggling to compete in search, with several of its most valuable treatment and local keywords ranking well below the first page and sending potential patients to better-positioned competitors.
This case study details exactly how we built and executed a focused website SEO strategy for Egham Dental Care, helping close the gap between the quality of care the practice provides and the visibility it receives online. Every key optimisation, strategic decision, and performance improvement is shared transparently, because we believe the best dental SEO partnerships are built on evidence, meaningful progress, and results.
Egham Dental Care is an established, award-winning dental practice based in Old Windsor, Berkshire. Founded in 2008, the practice has grown into a trusted local name, offering everything from general dentistry and Invisalign to cosmetic treatments and dental implants. With over 3,000 patients, a 4.8 Google rating and recognition as a finalist in multiple national dentistry awards, its reputation was already well established.
Much of that growth had come naturally through patient recommendations, local reputation and word of mouth. Patients knew the practice, trusted the team and continued to recommend it to friends and family. The practice did not have a problem attracting patients. It had built the kind of reputation many dental practices spend years trying to establish.
But there was another source of potential patients that had not yet been fully unlocked: Google.
While Egham Dental Care had the experience, treatments and reputation to compete, its website was not yet turning those strengths into the search visibility they deserved. That created a clear opportunity for Remedo: to take a practice already trusted offline and build the organic presence needed to make it equally visible online.
Six months later, the results went beyond what we set out to achieve.

Let's explore how we made it possible.
A detailed audit of Egham Dental Care’s website revealed several SEO and technical issues limiting its visibility and growth. These gaps were preventing the practice from competing effectively for high-intent searches across Egham, Old Windsor, and surrounding areas.
Our initial audit highlighted the following areas:
First, their website needed a more modern look and a stronger technical foundation. We found issues affecting crawlability, indexing, site structure, page speed, Core Web Vitals, sitemaps, and canonical tags. These were making it harder for search engines to crawl and understand the website.
Next, we found that several important treatment pages were too thin. They did not give patients enough useful information or give search engines enough context. Pages targeting “dental implants Egham", “root canal treatment Egham", and “cosmetic dentistry Egham” needed much more depth.
Their team also wanted to reach more patients across Egham, Old Windsor, and nearby areas. However, the website lacked sufficient location-focused content or supporting local SEO signals to build that relevance.
We then looked at how their key pages were optimised. Title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, images, and keyword targeting were not working together as effectively as they could. This meant the website was missing opportunities to rank for valuable treatment searches.
Another area we identified was website authority. Their website had not built enough relevant backlinks, referring domains, or supporting content to compete with dental practices that had already established a stronger presence in search.
Most importantly, their website was not appearing consistently for the searches their potential patients were making. This included “dentist in Egham", “dentist in Old Windsor", “dental implants in Old Windsor", “periodontist Egham", and “Invisalign Egham".
This visibility gap also affected the enquiries they were receiving. The team wanted more qualified, appointment-ready patient enquiries, not simply more visitors to the website. Our SEO strategy therefore needed to focus on reaching people who were actively looking for the treatments they offered.
Finally, we had to consider the local competition. With 30+ dental practices competing across Egham, Old Windsor, and nearby areas, simply increasing website traffic would not be enough. We needed to help Egham Dental Care appear in front of patients at the point when they were actively researching treatments and choosing a dental practice.
Once we understood where the website was falling short, we built the SEO strategy around the areas that could make the biggest difference to visibility and patient acquisition. The work covered the technical foundation first, followed by keyword targeting, page optimisation, content, and local search.
We started with the technical side of the website. Before adding more content, we needed to make sure Google could properly crawl, index, and understand the pages already there.
The team resolved crawl and indexing issues, improved page speed and Core Web Vitals, cleaned up sitemaps and canonical tags, and checked the website’s mobile responsiveness. This gave us a much stronger foundation for the SEO work that followed.
Next, we looked closely at what potential patients were actually searching for.
We researched treatment-based and location-based terms around dental implants, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, root canal treatment, periodontics, and general dentistry, as well as searches across Egham, Old Windsor, Windsor, Berkshire, and surrounding areas.
This helped us decide which pages needed to be created, improved, or given greater priority.
We then moved into the practice’s main treatment pages. Some of these pages were simply too thin and were not giving Google enough information about the services.
We rewrote the title tags, meta descriptions, headings, and page content, while naturally incorporating the target keywords. We also improved the structure so that patients could find the information they needed without having to work their way through dense or unclear copy.
We did not want the website to rank and then lose the patient once they arrived.
So, alongside the SEO work, we improved the service pages with clearer calls to action, stronger trust signals, treatment-focused information, and better mobile layouts. This gave visitors clearer next steps and made the pages more focused on generating genuine enquiries.
We also built out the website’s content around the questions patients were asking before choosing a treatment or dentist.
Over the project period, we published 24 blog articles covering topics around Invisalign, veneers, teeth whitening, general dental care, and other relevant patient searches. Rather than publishing content for the sake of volume, each topic was chosen to support the wider keyword strategy and create relevant pathways back to the practice’s treatment pages.
Local visibility was another important part of the project. We created dedicated location and service-focused pages targeting Egham, Old Windsor, Windsor, Berkshire, and surrounding areas.
This gave the website dedicated landing pages for the different areas the practice wanted to reach, rather than relying on one general location page to compete across every local search.
As we added new service, location, and blog pages, we also worked on how these pages connected.
We built a clearer internal linking structure between blogs, treatment pages, and location pages, helping users move naturally through the website while making it easier for search engines to understand the relationship between the different sections.
Alongside the website work, we strengthened the practice’s wider local presence. This included Google Business Profile optimisation and consistent business information across relevant directories.
The focus was to make the practice more relevant and visible for patients searching locally across Egham, Old Windsor, Windsor, Berkshire, and nearby areas.
By April 2026, their website had moved from having several foundational gaps to having a much more structured SEO setup, with stronger technical foundations, deeper treatment content, 24 supporting articles, and dedicated location pages supporting the areas the practice wanted to grow in.
