How Caring Dental South & Associates Used Social Media to Build Trust and Attract New Patients

Caring Dental South & Associates is a well-established dental clinic with two locations in New Jersey—Union and Marlboro. Known for their advanced treatments and strong patient-first approach, the practice had no problem retaining patients. In fact, many were returning regularly for reappointments.

But when it came to attracting new patients, something was missing.

Although the team had a loyal base, their practice growth wasn’t reaching its potential. One major factor behind this was their social media presence. It failed to reflect the excellence of their services and the positive outcomes patients experienced. Posts were infrequent, authentic images of the clinic and staff were missing, and engaging formats like stories, polls, and testimonials weren’t being utilized. Consequently, they incurred low visibility, minimal engagement, and almost no attention from their target audience.

This disconnect left their social media looking quiet and uninspired—far from the dynamic, trusted presence their clinic had built offline. That’s when Caring Dental partnered with Remedo to turn things around.

The Client’s Background

Caring Dental South & Associates is known for providing a comprehensive range of dental services, including general dentistry, cosmetic treatments, restorative procedures, oral surgery, and emergency care. With a patient-first approach and compassionate care, the practice has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, comfortable experiences to patients of all ages.

However, despite offering a wide range of services and having a loyal patient base, the clinic faced challenges common to growing local practices. Due to the rise in competition in the neighboring communities, their social media platform was weak, and online activity wasn’t affecting new patient acquisitions. Additionally, their posts were sporadic, authenticity-building attributes like staff and clinic images were nonexistent, and interactive material like polls, stories, and reviews wasn’t being used productively.

Recognizing the need for a targeted social media and local visibility strategy to better connect with potential patients, Caring Dental partnered with Remedo. This case study breaks down the key steps we took to strengthen their online presence, build patient trust, and attract new patients to both the Union and Marlboro locations.

The Challenges

When we examined Caring Dental South & Associates' social media profiles, several issues stood out.

Low Posting Frequency: Their social media posts were sporadic, sometimes coming as few as 3–4 times per month. This lack of consistency caused their audience to struggle to remain engaged or even remember that the clinic even existed online. With no constant stream of content, the practice was losing opportunities to remain top-of-mind among potential patients looking into local dental care.

Missing Authentic Content: Their profiles did not have real, humanizing content like clinic photos, team introductions, and genuine patient testimonials. Without this information, potential patients had nothing with which to relate and could not trust the expertise of the clinic or feel confident in making an appointment. The lack of genuine storytelling made their pages feel impersonal and uninteresting.

Minimal Engagement: Even if posts were going live, they weren't engaging likes, comments, or shares. Content wasn't connecting with the audience, i.e., followers weren't engaging or sharing organically. This minimal engagement further restricted the clinic from gaining new patients through social validation. On top of that, the team wasn’t actively monitoring whether the issue was with the content itself, the timing of posts, or the posting frequency—leaving engagement gaps unaddressed.

Underused Features: Features like stories, polls, and videos—proven to capture attention and showcase personality—were rarely used. The practice was missing quick and creative ways to connect with their audience and demonstrate their expertise. These underutilized formats left potential patients unaware of the clinic’s full range of services and the friendly, approachable team behind them.

Local Visibility Gaps: Posts weren’t optimized with geo-tags, location-specific hashtags, or community references, which meant their reach in Union and Marlboro was limited. Without these localized signals, potential patients nearby weren’t discovering the clinic online. This created a disconnect between the clinic’s strong local reputation and its underwhelming online visibility.

New Patient Flow Not Growing: Despite retaining loyal patients, the lack of engaging, trust-building social content meant inquiries from new patients were lower than expected. Without active social channels highlighting the clinic’s services, credibility, and team, growth was stalling. This made it clear that the online presence needed a strategic overhaul to reflect the quality care patients experienced in-office.

The Strategy

Our social media marketing was aware that simply posting more often wasn’t enough—the client needed a structured, localized, and trust-focused approach to truly connect with their audience. To do this, we focused on creating content that was authentic, consistent, and designed to engage the community.

Introduced Real and Relatable Content: We started by adding genuine visuals to their profiles. This included photos of the team at work, the welcoming clinic interiors, patient testimonials, and treatment spotlights. With these posts, we helped their social media reflect the real experience patients enjoy in the office, making their profiles feel approachable and trustworthy. By showcasing the people behind the practice and the outcomes they deliver, we were able to foster authentic connections and strengthen trust among their patients.

Set a Consistent Posting Rhythm: Next, we established a predictable, balanced posting schedule. Rather than 3–4 random posts per month, we upped the frequency to 7–8 posts per month. Every post was thoughtfully scheduled in a content calendar that matched seasonal holidays, dental awareness days, and local events. This frequency kept their audience involved, as well as made sure that potential patients consistently had eyes on the clinic's services through the months.

Leveraged Stories and Polls: We introduced interactive formats like Instagram and Facebook stories, polls, Q&A sessions, and short educational reels. These bite-sized, engaging formats gave their followers opportunities to interact directly with the practice, ask questions, and feel part of the community. By making content interactive, we were able to create a two-way conversation rather than a one-sided feed.

Optimized Profiles: We updated all profile details to make it easy for their users to connect with the clinic. This included clear bios, business hours, contact information, and prominent website links. We also added geo-tags for Union and Marlboro in every post to boost local discoverability to make sure that the right audience could find the practice easily.

Localized Their Reach: To further enhance visibility, we shared content in relevant local Facebook groups and used community-specific hashtags. This strategy helped the clinic appear in front of residents actively looking for dental services nearby, without relying solely on paid promotions. It positioned Caring Dental as a trusted, accessible option in the neighborhoods they serve.

Added Clear Calls-to-Action: Finally, every post was crafted with a purpose. Whether it encouraged followers to book an appointment online, call the clinic directly, or explore specific services on the website, each piece of content guided potential patients to take the next step. By combining trust-building content with actionable steps, we turned engagement into tangible growth for both locations.

The Results (April–July 2025 Overview)

Facebook (Union & Marlboro):

- Views increased from 150 in April to 255 in July

- Reach more than doubled compared to April

- Interactions grew from 6 to 17

- Visits increased from 53 to 69

Facebook (Caring Dental South Page):

- Views rose from 8,371 in April to 8,744 in July

- Reach climbed to 4,724 in July

- Interactions almost tripled (from 9 to 24)

- Profile visits increased from 35 to 55

Instagram:

- Engagement remained low early on but picked up in July, showing signs of growth with higher views and reach.
